It has, indeed, been awhile since I’ve written! Life just gets in the way, and I’m not ashamed of that. I’m realizing that being busy is a blessing, and I’m so thankful for the opportunities I’ve recently been given. That being said – here are somethings going on in my life…I feel an update is in need!
- I left my fulltime job to pursue my dreams of owning and running my own small business, The Simple Cup. Along with that, I’m freelancing fulltime (both designing + developing) and am currently working on a self rebrand. Previously it was Pretty Little Lines, soon it will be… opps, that’s a secret :) Let’s just say I’m in love with the uniqueness and simplicity the self rebrand brings to the table. I couldn’t have done any of this without the support of friends and family, and most importantly, my husband being at my side.
- I flew for the first time. My husband and I took a 2 week trip to the West Coast, where we drove roughly 1,000 miles on the Pacific Coast Bi-way, felt tiny among the Red Wood giants, gazed at the beauty cast off from simple rock formations in Yosemite, and had the best 1 year anniversary imaginable. I’ll post photos from this later, for sure.
- I learned that adventure is out there for those who seek it. Putting a monetary face on every single thing in life causes stress and that’s something we should all avoid. Don’t live ridiculously and drain your bank accounts; just enjoy life a little. We all need too! Go on a trip, pursue a dream, invest in yourself. Taking risks, relaxing, and investing in yourself is a necessity.
That’s a good bit of news, so I’ll leave it at that for now. I’m also realizing… I really do enjoy writing and maintaining this blog – but under my own free spirited conditions. When I started this blog, I forced myself into a very strict schedule, and began to dislike the whole situation greatly. I’m much more of an impulse writer, unfortunately enough. However, I will be updating this blog as often as I see fit and still sharing posts that fall relevant to the Categories I have previously established. I hope you’ll follow along and share with me your stories, tips, experiences, etc!
Have a wonderful Wednesday.
