Over the past couple of Tuesdays I’ve been sharing with you my goals for the new year! Next week will be the final piece in this series. Trust me I have about 25 more; but those are rather personal goals. :)
I talk about inspiration a lot, so naturally it plays a big role in my life. This is a goal I have every year and some years it goes a lot better than others; typically in the summertime. I’m not sure why – maybe because it’s gorgeous out and I enjoy riding in the car more with the windows down – but summertime is where I find my peak inspirations. Because I travel and go outside a lot more. I want to change that. I don’t want to let winter stop me from being inspired! So that is where the external portion of my inspiration goal comes from. I’ll admit, it’s a bit hard right now because my husband and I are saving for a big trip in June… saving both money and our time off. But adventure is out there, and it’s our jobs to make it happen, no matter what.
The internal inspiration part comes from a longing I’ve had for a little while. I realize I don’t reflect on moments a lot of the time… typically because I feel rushed or I’m so anxious I forget to stop, breath and “smell the roses”. Reflection on moments where we are at our happiest is SO important. Those moments aren’t meant to be rushed through, those moments are meant to evoke lasting inspiration! I’m going to achieve this by not only stopping and soaking in those moments, but by sharing them afterwards on here. I love reading blogs where people share photos of their travels and experiences – it’s so exciting. I need to remember to do that myself!
This years inspirations for me will be found both internally and externally through reflection, travel and personal sharing.
